While attending Musashino Art University, he became a staff member for Tsuburaya Productions and was promoted to art director for “Mighty Jack”. He created countless creatures as a monster designer, following in the footsteps of Toru Narita, Noriyoshi Ikeya, and Ken Kumagai.

Mechagodzilla from the Toho movie “Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla” shocked the whole world, and this solo exhibition, which is a commemorative event in 2024 to celebrate its 50th anniversary, will showcase the world of innovative mecha + monsters full of originality that is unrivaled by others.

Akihiko Iguchi (born June 29, 1943)
Production designer, art director, art director, head of GAM special effects art. Born into the Iguchi family, designers of Toho Tsuburaya Kaiju & Heroes, his eldest son is Hajime Takahashi, a special effects TV and movie cameraman, and after getting married, he started working under the name Akihiko Takahashi, using his wife’s surname, and also used the signature Akihiko. His eldest son, Hajime Takahashi, is a special effects TV and film cameraman. His eldest daughter, Reika Takahashi, is a CG designer who has worked on projects such as Hatsune Miku.
