Here are the release information about collaborations between Sofvi and Japanese traditional crafts – to be released on January 2023.
These products were decorated by Mr. Kurihara, Executive Director of Kurihara Mokko-jo. The unprecedented products were created due to Mr. Kurihara’s many years of experience in manufacturing products for various industries and the maximum use of his more than 100 years of woodworking experience and outstanding painting skills. Mr. Kurihara is also certified as a traditional craftsman of Saitama Prefecture.
Kurihara Mokko-jo, which originally manufactured only woodworking products, implemented lacquering technology, enabling integrated production from manufacturing to lacquering. In this way, Kurihara Mokko-jo has built a one-stop production line from design, design proposals, and production to shipping.
Mr. Kurihara’s lacquering techniques were developed through practice during his years of training and further research. His techniques are now highly valued in many fields. The products of Kurihara Mokko-jo, which continues to pioneer new paths, have many stories and accomplishments.
