<p>■ MARKARO<br>"O-fudo-sama (Acala)'s messenger"<br>A tiny little Buddha born from a piece of flame.<br>His head is a lion, and body a human, and hair a flame in which the Kalura Flame (Fire Bird Karura) dwells.<br>A 10cm long, mischievous boy.<br>He has a sword and snare which houses the treasured sword; Kulika (black dragon).<br>Normally only one flame (white), but when a terrible evil appears, it splits into five flames; east (blue), west (yellow), south (red), and north (black).</p>

<p>May 29, 2010 - "MARKARO" was born.<br>Jun 23, 2010 - Goods sales (T-shirts &amp; sweatshirts, etc.)<br>Jan 8 - Mar 1, 2011 - Production of prototype mold of "MARKARO" (for resin)<br>Apr. 3, 2011- Sales of MARKARO (for resin)<br>2013 - "MONOZUKURI JIPANG" group formed</p>



<p>Jan 13 - Jan 31, 2013 - "MARKARO" exhibited at "Monozukuri Week" at 2K540, Okachimachi, organized by Yuusyokuya Boo.<br>Jan 2014 - Requested a friend's prototype maker (9works) to modify a MARKARO Sofubi prototype &amp; to produce a WAX prototype and mold.</p>



<p>To date - he has been exhibiting resin, Sofubi, and other goods at café galleries in Kyoto, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Tsukuba City, selling them at festivals, and holding solo exhibitions.</p>

<p>Silk Road's first Sofubi, "Agerukun - First Color" will be available from T-BASE JAPAN Shibuya PARCO store with a limited quantity of 100 pieces!</p>

<p>”The World's First Ryokan Sofubi - Monster Sofubi for Town Revitalization!" was planned by Bandai Nishimuraya. Inawashiron was born on October 26, 2019! The lovable character quickly spread throughout Japan and the world, and was even released in Taiwan in 2021!</p>

<p>Being the president of Marmit, he is also a toy planner/manufacturer/distributor, animation and movie author, novelist, sculptor, doll maker, monster designer, steampunk artist, cyberpunk artist, and has many other names.</p>



<p>He has held various solo exhibitions not only in Japan but also abroad.</p>



<p>This will be his first solo exhibition at T-BASE JAAPN Ginza Gallery!</p>

<p class="has-text-color" style="color:#757575">Born in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture in 1962, he graduated from Shibukawa Nishi High School (now Shibukawa Seisui High School; the name Seisui was also Akamatsu's idea) and from Chuo University, Faculty of Economics, Department of International Economics.<br>While studying at university, he worked as an assistant for Toru Narita (1929 - 2002, famous as a general designer of Ultraman, Ultra Seven, etc.) on movie special effects (Mahjong Hourouki, Sukeban Deka, etc.) and learned the basics of painting and sculpture at Narita's Art School.<br>He started a series of articles in the magazine "Spaceship" and also published his work in other modeling magazines. After graduating from university, he joined Takara Co., Ltd. (now TOMY COMPANY, LTD.), where he worked on the planning, production, and merchandising of Rika-chan, Jenny-chan, The Game of Life, Transformers, G.I. Joe, NORAKUROKUN, FLOWER ROCK, Chibi Maruko-chan, Akazukin Chacha, Gakko-No-Hanakosan, Mashin Hero Wataru, Madö King Granzört, Future GPX Cyber Formula, Ronin Warriors, Jushin Liger, X-MEN, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dennou Keisatsu Cybercop, The Brave Express Might Gaine, The Brave Police J-Decker, Brave Command Dagwon, The Brave of Gold Goldran, The King of Braves GaoGaiGar, Gridman the Hyper Agent, and other products. He was also involved in planning and producing OVA and releasing video software in the Video Division.</p>



<p><strong>▼ Previous Solo Exhibitions</strong></p>



<p>On the first day at the Clutter Gallery in New York City, 500 people crowded into the gallery and overflowed onto the sidewalk. It was a legendary success that made the gallery extend its opening hours until 11 pm, as the number of visitors did not decrease at all even at 9 pm, which was the closing time of the gallery.</p>



<p>After the great success in New York, an exhibition was held at Ginza Arai Gallery the following year, and continued to be held at Harajuku and Ginza by adjusting the scale and methods during the COVID-19 pandemic, which received a positive response.</p>

<p><strong>"Our Showa Toy Exhibition Vol.2"</strong> will be held at T-BASE JAPAN Shibuya PARCO Store for 17 days from Fri, July 21- Sun, Aug 6, 2023.</p>



<p>Originally a part of T-BASE Shibuya PARCO as Toy's King Retro Hall, the store will expand its scale and all the retro toys will be displayed during the event.</p>

Kyu-Kappa

<p>Nappie is the local mascot character of Nakagawa-ku, Nagoya.<br>It is where the head office of Yamato Ltd., which operates T-BASE JAPAN, is located.<br>We made it into a three-dimensional figure under the supervision of Mr. Inasaka from STUDIO24, well-known for the local mascot character Sofvi, "Komakiyama".<br>As a professional sculptor, he made it into attractive artwork that has wonderful modeling and cuteness.</p>

<p>Rockbat is a special effects TV show broadcasted in 1975.<br>The main character, Rockbat, is a robot and is a character inspired by a bat.<br>We asked Mr. Hideki Kimura (Kimura Toy) to make the prototype mold, and we reproduced its brave figure from those days.</p>
